West Ham Football Shirts
West Ham United Football club finished the 2007-2008 season 10th. Their nicknames are The Hammers and The Irons and they were founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks. They have played at Upton Park for their home games since 1904.
The home colours are maroon, blue and white and the away colour is blue. The third colours are maroon and white. The first few decades for West Ham United were less than winning. They did make it to division one in 1923 and also won the cup that year, but outside of that, wins were few and far between.
In 1961, Ron Greenwood led the club to two trophies and then the FA Cup in 1964. 1965 gave West Ham United the European Cup Winner’s Cup. The team enjoyed success for the most part until 1978 when they were again relegated to Division two. They bounced back in 1980 to win another FA Cup.
Not to be outdone, the West Ham United fans have quite a sense of humor. Their anthem is I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, which has been sung since the 1920’s. The fans also have a darker side, which was not so subtly shown to David Beckham during an away match. With every touch of the ball brought boos from the West Ham fans.
