Their biggest rivals are the Wolverhampton Wanderers and the games between the two are called the Black Country derby. The club crest goes back to the late 1880’s and has a throstle sitting on a crossbar. Since that time, the crest has changed many times, but it has always featured a throstle.
The Albion’s have supporter’s worldwide. Especially in Ireland, Australia, Canada, Malta, Thailand and Denmark. The fans have an odd tradition when celebrating goals, which involves jumping up and down and yelling “Boing-Boing”. The fans are quite creative and have started several rather festive traditions for various events and games surrounding the team. Rivals for the Albion’s include Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
