Sunderland Football Shirts
Also known as the Black Cats or the Mackems, Sunderland Football Club was founded in 1879. Home games are played at the Stadium of Light Sunderland. The home colours are red, white and black while the away colors are black and blue. Third color is white with just a hint of red at the collar. Returning to the Premier League in 1999 as First Division champions, they then had a couple of less successful years. They finished the 2007-2008 season at 15th in the Premier league with 39 points.
Sunderland Football Club began playing at Blue House Field in Hendon and since that time has had 6 other home fields. In 1997 they moved to their current home; Stadium of Light, which is in Monkwearmouth. Attendance has been good for the Sunderland games with having the fifth highest home attendance in the Premier League during the 2007-2008 seasons. Main rivals for Sunderland are Newcastle United and Middlesbrough. They also have a rivalry with Leeds United.
