Middlesbrough Football Shirts
Middlesbrough Football club is based in Middlesbrough. They now call Riverside Stadium home although they have had a variety of homes over the years since they were established in 1897. Red and white are the home colours and blue and black are the colours for the away games. Their crest has changed four times and most recently it is a lion inside a shield and the words Middlesbrough Football Club 1876 underneath. This latest change took place in 2007.
Middlesbrough has the distinction of having the seventh loudest set of fans in the Premier League. They also have the highest proportion of women fans which is 20%. Middlesbrough’s main rivals are Newcastle United, Leeds United, and Sunderland. The nickname for the team is “Smoggies” which was originally used by opposing supporters.
There is a Middlesbrough Football club in the Community, which began in 1995 and an offshoot from that is the Middlesbrough Enterprise Academy, which helps children improve entrepreneurial skills and learn business planning. This also comes through as to the community mindedness of the Middlesbrough team although the MFCC and the Academy are run separately from the team.
