Man City Football Shirts
Manchester City has been for the most part a winning team. With the exception of a short period in the 1990’s, they have remained in top flight status. They did have a dry stretch beginning in 1976 during which they did not win any top honors. Manchester City was ranked 9th after the 2007-2008 seasons.
The team colours for home games are white and sky blue. Traditionally away games were played in maroon, but over the past several years the colour scheme keeps changing for away games. For 2008-2009 the away game colours are red and black. The third shirt for Manchester City is orange.
There is a rather large fan base for Manchester City and the fans seem extremely loyal. Attendance for the games has been in the top six for England. The song for the team is Blue Moon.
The home games are played out of the City of Manchester Stadium for which Manchester City paid a whopping 35 million for upgrading and lowering the field to below ground level. There are 48,000 seats at the stadium.
Manchester City has won the FA Cup 4 times, the last time being in 1969 and won the Second Division Second Tier in 2001-2002. They won the European winners cup in 1970.
