Aston Villa Football Club were part of the founding members of the football league in 1888 and the premier league of 1992. In the 1960’s when the team was not faring well, it was under the sheer pressure of the fans that the entire board resigned and brought in fresh new blood. The current owner of Aston Villa is an American Businessman named Randy Lemer who is the owner of the Cleveland Browns American Football team. Along with the new management came a new crest, a new kit sponsor and a seemingly new attitude of hope.
The colours of the Aston Villa is Claret and Blue. The suggested reason for this is the Scottish influence of George Ramsay and William McGregor. The upcoming year promises to be quite an experience as the team along with the new management pull everything together. Fans are hopeful of a new moon rising with Aston Villa having a more constant top presence in the league.
