Arsenal Football Shirts
Arsenal Football club, also known as the Gunners, are one of the most successful clubs in the U.K. Their home colors are red and white and their away colors are yellow and blue. Arsenal currently play at Emirates Stadium in Halloway.
Founded in 1886 as the Dial Square, they renamed to the Royal Arsenal shortly after. They became the Woolwich Arsenal in 1891 and joined the football league in 1893. They have a large fan base and also a long list of rivals with their top rival being neighbouring Tottenham Hotspur.
Much of their successes in the 1990’s and 2000’s is credited to the appointment of manager Arsene Wegner in 1996. Wegner brought in entirely new tactics and techniques which seemed to invigorate the already many time champions. The Arsenals have finished either first or second 8 out of the 11 years that Wegner has been at the helm.
Arsenal fans are referred to as Gooners which is a play on the word “Gunners”. The fanbase is huge and nearly all games sell out. With the help of satellite television, the number of fans is increasing to those well outside the area and even outside of the country.
